Longdapac New Product: 100% Recyclable Mono Material PE Spout Pouch

Strictly speaking, spout pouch is a product that combines hard and soft packaging, and cannot be simply considered a flexible packaging product.

The combination of hard and soft parts is the most distinctive part of the spout pouch in the flexible packaging category.

Therefore, whether in conventional laminated film structures or in new 100% recyclable mono-material PE film structure, we have specific requirements for such products.

Longdapac has recently launched 100% recyclable mono-material spout pouches.  Due to its well controlled process, which reduces waste and loss in the production process or reduces product development investment.

1: 100% recyclable mono-material film structure.

The application field of laminated flexible packaging spout pouch is very wide, whether in the food industry, daily chemical products, pharmaceuticals or health products, they application a very large share. In these application fields, spout pouches are divided into three categories based on their contents: powder, fluid, and liquid.

For conventional film structure, normally fluid is requires thicker film than powder, and liquid is require thicker film than fluid; also it might be more layers.

But for 100% recyclable mono-material film structure, it is mostly 2 layers PE/PE. The only difference is the heavier the pouch, the thicker the pouch. Or some might be with 3 layers as MDOPE/BOPE/PE or PE/BOPE/PE

2: Recyclable spout pouch production process

Materials: It needs to have low temperature inner PE layer, and it is also very import to have low temperature nozzle.

Printing: Ink needs to use high temperature resistant materials, especially at the nozzle position. If necessary, curing agents need to be added to improve the temperature resistance of the nozzle position. If the product design has matte oil, the position of the pressure nozzle is usually designed in a non matte oil position. Some people may wonder why there is usually no matte oil printed on the nozzle position? This is because there are differences in the temperature resistance of some matte oils in China, and many matte oils are prone to sticking back under high temperature and pressure in the heat sealing position. At the same time, the heat sealing knife for manual nozzle sealing generally does not have high-temperature cloth attached, and the anti sticking of matte oil is prone to accumulate on the nozzle sealing knife. Therefore, in general, designing the nozzle position as a non mute oil level is more conducive to production control

Bag making: It will be very difficult cause PE is low temperature. It is not that stable as the conventional materials. So even we are using low temperature PE spout cap, we will still need to be very careful in nozzle installation. The speed is much lower than conventional materials, but thanks for our professional technicians; we are able to improve it every day. Now the speed is good, the quality is good too.
